1TB Hard Drive by Hitachi Coming Later This Year
Seagate’s perfect plan was to be the first and the only company that created anticipation for it’s 1TB hard drive for a little while, they were indeed the first. But it took Hitachi several hours to get the troops ready for a counter. Aside from the picture released, all we know that the hard drive is named Deskstar 7K1000 and is scheduled for 2nd quarter of 2007.

I wonder how long it will take until back-up devices catch up. Having a terrabyte of storage is pretty cool but having no easy way to back it up is kind of scary.
