Carpet Identifies Your Sex & Age

Hehe, now there are carpets that will identify your sex and know your age, and no, they don’t do it by planting cams in the floor, lady. The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Japan produces this carpet that can determine your age, sex and wieght just by having you strolling on it.

“According to lab test results, the carpet is very accurate as well. Determining age between 20 and 60 yields almost perfect results, whereas determining gender is a neat 75 percent accuracy. Weight is no big deal, of course.”

Walkie Talkie Watches

I know people who have tons of watches, these cheap watches that cost less than $20, they look like they’ve been collected from some vendor machine. Although these watches look quite the same, they have one very cool feature: Walkie Talkie.

These have a range of up to 3km, a solid battery that can last 6 hours on standby and 2 hours of continuous talk, a battery low indicator and voice activation for hands free use (VOX). Other than that they look and act quite the same as any normal watch.

Concept: LED Display Shelf

A student from the North Carolina State University called Chris Owens has come up with this great idea: Pressure-sensitive switches embedded into the bottom of the shelfs, so when you put an item on it it goes on and when you take it goes off.

Wouldn’t that be the next hit in clubs and bars?

The Candy Grabber

Last time we’ve brought you something the same style as the Candy Grabber ($29) it was this mini coke vendor, that was posted early January so we felt like refreshing. If you feel like winning your own candy instead of spending 3 bucks on “Snickers” you’ve earned at the mall machine, this is the thing for you.

Provided with fake coins and some circus-cranky music, this promises to give you the same feeling you’d have in the mall, only without your wife shouting at you for spending the 3 bucks =).

T.One 8GB USB 2′’ Drive

Truth is, there are smaller USB drives in the market, but smaller than 2-inch is a bit too small, too small it could get lost. Truth is, there are much bigger capacities available today, but the T.One 8GB Microdrive ($130) combines the best of capacity and size in a small but stylish 2-inch pack.

Powerball Gyro

Now here’s a gadget that will actually help you get off your geeky-butt and work out a little, while still mantaining your geeksome. Powerball Gyro ($33) is promised to be the most unique and dynamic product in it’s field. It works mainly on your biceps and wrist muscles, the Powerball, when rotated in a certain way, starts to come to life and move in an increasing speed (up to 15,000rpm). Your job is to calm the Powerball down using the strength in your arm and wrist.
