Google Launching Paypal-Like Service (?)
A very strong rumor is going around, saying that google is planning to launch a new service called Google Checkout. Garett Rogers from the ZDNet blog explains why it’s very possible that soon Google will attempt to take on Paypal:
“think it will be a shopping cart system to help websites accept payment for their items online. The money site owners make will be deposited into a holding account at Google â?? just like AdSense works.”
“it would make sense for Google Checkout to tie into Google Analytics so website owners can easily track with certainty how their AdWords campaign is directly affecting sales â?? right through the checkout process.”
Let’s hope they make payments possible to more countries than Paypal.
