Microsoft Confirmed Their Own “iPod”
Only a day after we released the “Microsoft I-pod” video, Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer says they are going to enter the market, and try to combine their player with a phone:
â??In five years are people really going to carry two devices? One device that is their communication device, one device that is music? Thereâ??s going to be a lot of opportunities to get back in that game. We want to be in that game. Expect to see announcements from us in that area in the next 12 months.â?
Note that the iPod seen in the video is probably not the final product, maybe it’s just a spoof, but the fact Microsoft did confirmed the rumor soon after the video was released indicates that the intentions are there.

It’ll all be on the phones, but does Microsoft really have to own all this? Can’t some of the companies already doing cell phones take the lead on this and beat out Microsoft? We all know about Microsoft’s business practices!!

That’s an interesting comment i have to say, Microsoft can lead almost every aspect of this tech world, but with a rival like Apple…i’m not sure
