Idea: Blog for your forum
“I put up a temporary site/blog…even though it’s named “Legends” I’ll use the site for personal thought as well” Said forum admin Austin, owner of the newly refurbished Legends forum.
Realizing forum addicts didn’t quite get the idea of extensive forum roleplaying, Austin decided to blog about it, rant, update, talk, ponder, read the editor’s say about the idea.
Not alot of forum owners would take the chance Austin took: turning a growing forum into extensive roleplaying forum, and most importantly investing so much time in building background stories, index images and a map especially for his roleplay world.
The risk doesn’t seem worthy right now, with a bit more than 20 members, and about 2000 posts which is pretty natural since forum members and guests don’t really get the idea of roleplaying in a forum, in such an interactive and rich way.
This article won’t necessarily talk about the roleplaying idea, but about the idea to come up with a blog where you put your admin notes and share ideas. I started the forum-talk here after noticing that people do find it interesting and i’m very happy to see Austin (& Shadow) adapting this method.
Early signs of luxuriance are appearing, Austin finds new ideas and point-of-views through blogging, keeping his admin notes, and sharing his exprience which gives him both an option to communicate with his forum members and receive some good publicity.
