SongBird: Open source version of iTunes?
Rob Lord, the leading man in SongBird’s production, comparing iTunes: “like Internet Explorer, if Internet Explorer could only browse Microsoft.com. We love Apple, and appreciate and thank them for setting the bar in terms of user experience. But it’s inevitable that the market architecture changes as it matures.”
Songbird will play iTunes songs as well as other song formats out there such as WMA to OGG. It is developed by some of the guys that helped in developing Firefox, Does that mean it’ll take as much market share from iTunes as Firefox took from IE? time should tell, looks promising so far.

But does Songbird sync with iPod? That’s a problem.
