iPod earbuds: Hip Or Harmful?
â??Weâ??re seeing the kind of hearing loss in younger people typically found in aging adults. Unfortunately, the earbuds preferred by music listeners are even more likely to cause hearing loss than the muff-type
earphones that were associated with the older devices,â? Garstecki said.
Now, this really concerns me, as i listen to music with my Zen Touch every single day for about 30 minutes in high-mid volume, i’ve been told before that it causes damage, but never really cared since there was “no proof”.
Reading the rest of the article should probably make the risk of using those earbuds clear.

Very true statement, I listen to music in a high-mid volume usually but am not scared of losing hearing.
Due to me turning volume down if it starts to get too loud, lol. Of course, I’m at a higer risk as I listen to music at a probably higher level, I don’t use those stupid little “plug-in” headphones.
I prefer the “muff-type” ones like ones on headsets (need a new one, XD). I also listen to music more often than you stated, way more than 30 minutes.
However, I’ve done this for a while and yet nothing’s happened to me yet…

Really now… Damn… How late is “late stages in life” though? It could be any age that they imply is a late age…
